its ok to keep a 120 gallon tank on the first floor right? and there is a 46 on the other side of the wall a little bit up kinda like this
______46||BATHROOM||
_WALL_WALL WALl_120_
Its kinda like that and i guess its a wood frame single house

Do you have a basement? If not, then look around the outside of your house. Do you see a big slab of concrete under everthing? If so, you're ok.

the house does have a basement
and i dont know if anything is reinforced under it
its a fairly new house, but 16 years ago i think

i added some pics to show what i mean

tell me what you guys think

should be fine its a really new house so it should be reinforced...

I would watch that 120 on that stand though ;) If the weight is not evenly distributed by the piece of wood the ends could sag and it could burst.

A 2x4 under each side to reinforce the wood base would make it feel a lot safer

I am probably over thinking it though

You should be ok on the first floor. I agree about that stand though...that could burst pretty easily, and you don't want that.

i was going to repaint the stand a nail a board to the bottom
do you mean between the tank and the stand? cuz there is a board inbetween but its the same color as the stand
