ok I have a 125 I bought myself for Christmas and I was wondering about stocking a community. I have never kept a community before so I dont know how many aggressive ca's will work. I have available to me red tiger motas, midas, trimacs, escondido, jd's,festea, and some smaller stuff like cons and firemouths. so my ideal set up would be a midas, mota and a escondido but not sure if thats pushing it? any suggestions would be great. thanks.
125 aggressive ca stocking?

I think midas, mota, escondido would work well. It actually might not be enough fish, I think that five is the reccomended number of cichlids to keep in the same tank to reduce aggression.

No not really in my 125 I used to have a Zaliosus and an Escondido with my Managuense and Barred Midas which are the only ones left because my Manny ate the escon and the Zalio had a bad injury and I had to euthanize him but he used to torment everyone in the tank. I say you could do three fish and my suggestion is a Mota, Festae and an Escon with a schoal of 5 or 6 Red Hooks
