Ok, finally settled the idea of a dorm tank. Once fall comes around I will have a single room all too myself and will be able to fit a big tank in there. I've started to grow out the inhabitants already. So far what I am looking at in the tank is a silver aro, 1 juruense, 2 reticulated rays (which will be tea cups at the moment), and 3-5 discus. Overall the species listed don't really have compatibility issues aside from the juruense when he might be able to swallow the discus cause his growth rate is a little faster.

So far I have the silver so he is in a 75 and is only bout 4 inches. He is doing great, he's helping thin out the swordtail, guppy, molly, goedied, live bearer species population.

Any other ideas or fish recommendations?

here is my tank soo u can get any idea, so if u need help just email me at yayodiscus@hotmail.com and i would help u with any problem with discus.

Really. I work at a LFS in Maryland so we might be getting discus from you already, if not we might be able to work something out.

Biggest problem I see is the output of all those fish will be too high for a 125 for very long. That couple with the discus' need for high water quality will likely lead to stunted discus. You will have to have huge water changes quite often, or start with adult discus.

The tank for the juruense and silver I know is too small cause they will out grow it in no time. Mainly these fish are going in this tank to grow out slightly before they move into a 250 and up outa that to a friends 650. So no worries on that. Also I was looking on a dialysis unit for water quality anywayz :D
