i have a 125 gallon and im plannin on using an aquaclear 110 at first being ill only have one or 2 fish and then eventually gettin another 110 as my population increases, anybody have any suggestions as far as maybe more filtration, a type of filter suggested, air pumps...anything like that will be appreciated ( housing peacock bass, clown knife:headbang2, tiger red oscar, couple of cats)

Hmm big fish, big bioload. The AC110 can work for awhile I suppose assuming the fish are still small, but my tank is 150 and I'm running a w/d and planning to add a fx5 as well. You could do something like 2xAC110 and an eheim canister (better for bio).

Id slap a emperor 400 with a fluval fx5 on it. that will surely handle the waste bio-load. if you print petsmarts online add and take it to the store you can get it for 39.00. someone on here has a fx5 for sale very cheap. type fx5 in the search to locate it. good luck.

petsmart.com????

I got my FX5 on eBay for $200 shipped with carbon and polishing pads (even though I prob wont use that media). Might be other places where you can find it cheaper.

Those Ac110's are only going to be so good at filtrating your tank mechanically once your fish get bigger, especially your stock. Your gonna need a big canister filter one day and a FX5 would be a good way to go as it should handle all the bio filtration and a bit of mechanical filtration in your tank.

2xac110 and add a rena xp4 or xp3 for more bio great cheap canisters.....

I had a 125 with 3 ac 110s and 2 fluval 404(89.95) on ebay right now free shipping great deal ,this kept the tank crystal clear.

I have 3 fx5s on my 125. They do a pretty good job. I had a wet/dry, but I took it out in favor of more mechanical filtration. I packed the fx5s with ceramic bio and with scrubbies for handling the biofiltration. For reference, I have 9 polypterus (various) 8-12", a lima shovel nose cat 12", sturio cat 9", 7 silver dollars 5-6", striped raphael 6", common plec 9" (free to good home) and a jewel cichlid 5". I got tired of seeing poop on the sand with only two fx5s.
