Canada... i wish.
alright. so in about two hours im picking up a used 125 gal. and this is the thread that i'll keep updated as the project progresses. http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/for/1675652146.html

so here are me plans:

1. test the tank in my garage for any leaks, etc.

2. paint the back of the tank black (what kind of paint is recommended) and maybe the stand black.

3. as for substrate, i think i might try slate tile... i have a lot left over from when my house was built. if not i'll just use the pfs thats in my 100 right now.

4. set up the filtration hopefully i dont have to buy new hoses for the
canisters since i cut them to length for my 100, but if i have to i'll just go down to homedepot and get some.... the 125 comes with some kind of filtration, but not sure what it kind. so im going to fill the 125 half with new water and run one of my eheim pro II on it and then add some old tank water to fill up the rest and and the rest of my filters and transfer the fish. good idea?

as for stock: im trying to get an african bio-type going. so ill be selling my silver aro and my orino pbass. and then i'll keep my odoe, african aro and my two polys. i plan on adding two more polys, but those wont come until this summer if i have the money.

im open for any suggestions... btw my 100 will be for sale for 150 or obo

Im in the same boat as you. Just picked up a 120gal last night and was considering painting the back of the tank. Im going with black sand and should be getting that this weekend. This is my 1st tank over 100gal. GL on your project

nice. tank and stand look to be in great shape.

congrats!

thanks... the only thing bad are some scratches on the inside... but most of em are one the back, so they wont be to noticeable when i paint it.
