I've found a 125 gallon setup that includes everything (tank, hood, lights, stand, canister filter, gravel, and I think two 200 watt heaters) and was wondering if this is a good deal?

I personally would buy it depending on the condition it is in. Also depends on what kind of canister but i would buy it if it is in good coniditon with a nice stand.

that's a pretty sweet deal, i know i'd go for it!

I say it depends on what kind of equipment it comes with, if it's cheapish stuff I wouldn't pay that much. It also depends on your local area, that GREATLY affects used tank pricing.

SoCal stuff is typically cheaper than average and places like Alaska are higher than average, not sure how it is around you.

^ Good points,I paid threehundred bucks for a 125 with the glass tops and nothing else a few years back.

Seems like a good deal :D

Just make sure everything works and the tank doesn't leak...my used 55g had a heater that was probably broken while it was being transported. At least the guy delivered it for free :D

my new 125 was $350 for the tank/glass hood/lights

estimates of the other stuff included:

two heaters $40
filtration $150
stand $250
hood $125
rocks/substrate $30

Total of over $900

$325 is a good deal (if everything is in good working order)
