i found a guy on criagslist literally 2 blocks away from my home selling a 125 gal because he was moving and he couldnt fit it in new apartment. So i stopped by and asked how much for it and he said "I WAS going to sell it for 300$ but i REALLY need to get rid of it, so I'll sell it and the stand for 200$." :screwy: I freaked out when i got home because I recently bought a 75 gal for 230$. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

OP, that's a good deal for a 125gal + stand.
 
Sounds better than my 125 deal from years ago.A friend sold me his tank with the glass tops and lights but no stand for three hundred dollars back in 95.
 
I got a 125 yesterday for 150 bucks and I'm building the stand for 60 so I came out right around where you did, except I have to buy substrate, and filters still.
 
Got my 1st 125gal (used for 2-3years), stand, air pump, 2 penguin 330 filters, heater, two T-5 low profile lights with awesome bulbs, nets, food, and water treatment chemicals for $300. Friend needed to ditch it, because he was moving.

Got my 2nd 125gal acrylic reef tank and custom stand for free. It included a 30 gallon acrylic sump tank, two 700GPH pumps, 2 heaters, protein skimmer, and more nets. lol Some dude posted it on a spearfishing forum, said 1st come first serve takes it all for free. Naturally I could not pass up this deal, probably valued at well over $1000. Tank is not running yet, tank needs to be refinished, and stand as well. Once I get it setup it will look boss.

yea the guys giving me almost everything except his light. Im picking it all up sometime this week.
