125 gal Stock list

125 gallon sand bottom with driftwood and a few rock and fake plants.
fx5 filter and a 70 penguin HOB.

i currently have:
Albino tiger oscar 8.5"
jack dempsy 6"
polypterus palmas 8"
clown knife 4"
common pleco 7"

they are in a 55 now and will be in the 125. can i add a cichla or a retic ray? i heard some horror stories with having plecos and rays so idk if thats a great idea or not. if not the ray what are some good options. i plan on having the tank for at least 1 year before i upgrade again.

*marineland 350 HOB, this is going from the 55 to the 125 to speed up the cycle and then i was going to either get an fx5 or a fluval 405...

What are you upgrading to? Retic rays need really large tanks so does your clown knife. I would get the ray yet unless your upgrading to a much larger tank. Some of the smaller ray species would be better, but a species only tank would be best

I'd stick with what you have for the 125. Once you're ready to upgrade to a much bigger tank, then you can think about a ray or pbass
