125 gal volitan lion setup

I am in the process of setting up a fish only saltwater setup in my 125. I really want to get a volitan lion, and maybe a few other tankmates. I want to do an inexpensive setup, but good enough for the lifetime of the fish. I have two hob filters with bio wheels, and a fluval 404. I believe this filtration should be adequate, but if not let me know. Should I buy a protien skimmer, a uv sterilizer, both, or neither? Is live rock an absolute necessity, and if so how much will I need. I am trying not to break the bank, but I will not be satisfied if my fish is not in a healthy environment. This is not my first saltwater tank. I currently have a 30 gallon reef tank, which is doing quite well. I learned to keep the reef tank by trial and error, but errors = dollars, so I am trying to do this tank right the first time. Any suggestions from experienced lion keepers will be greatly appreciated.
