Hey im going to do a fully stocked south american cichlid tank,used to do canisters but was wondering what would be the best for this,easy maintain,good filtering,not super loud,would a sump filter be good,never had a sump,doing sevs geos fire mouths i think,need to get started.

i run a tidepool sump on my 125g and no problems for the last few years with 2 oscars and no other fish load

Depends on what you mean by quiet. A w/d sump would be best for bio-filtration and could be quiet enough for most places in the house, I could not use one on my 180 which is in our bedroom.

how much am i lookin to spend on a sump set up for the 125 wether its all bought or some built,is their a place you can find this stuff used or too risky.
