Hi. Today I just purchased 8 African Cichilds for my 125 gallon tank. I gave away the Tiger Oscar and JD. I was wondering how many more African Cichilds I can fit in the 125 gallon tank? 6 of them are small and 2 are medium as of now. I'm not sure what kind of African Cichilds they are....it said assorted at the fish store. Does anyone know a good website where I can purchase more African Cichilds that tell the exact name. With only 8 fish in the tank it looks empty.

3 are Electric Yellow Cichilds.

as long as you have good filters you can have a lot I had 34 africans 3 plecos 1 rainbow shark and 2 syno cats in my 130 and had NO problems and there were some decent sized ones in there

Thanks!! I'll look into each one and what I like!

Ya it was a very diverse tank, I actually just sold all my fish I'm getting into a salt water..... online stores to check out are blue grass aquatics and live fish direct

I got most of mine at LFS's and there is a guy local to me that gets the more rarer cichlids shipped from a distributor in Utah

Also hang ons are nice but you should really invest in a canister filter...... Amazon has an off brand one that is pretty reasonable its AquaTop I think... thats what I have and I like a lot no problems so far I also run an hang on as well though

LFS doesn't have much to offer thats why I wanted to buy online. I am continuing to look online to see what I like.
