Ok, so my rays and dats finally got moved to their 240, now I have a 125 that I can play around with..

I've currently got a 75 gallon community tank that is severely over stocked, so I am going to be moving these guys to the 125.

This is the stock:

9 ctonepma Leopard fish
1 african butterfly fish
3 jurupari earth eaters
about 15 clown loaches
1 small syno cat
1 L114
1 L200
1 gold nugget
1 white seam
3 royals
1 para
1 whiptail
1clown pleco
1 blue phantom
3 zebra loaches

This seems like a fair stocking for a 125, but I was wondering what else I could go with... I kinda want to get rid of the leaf fish, but I kinda want to grow them out, as they are only 4" now.

I am thinking of going with planted, but I know that the clown loaches will annihilate them, so I will go with the fake ones made from cloth. There will be drift wood, and fake rock caves.

I was thinking about keeping the chicken grit as the gravel, but I was also thinking about using silica sand to give it a brighter look.

Let me see your community tank- and give ideas?!

bump? anyone?

Maybe up your zebra loach count and then you definitely need a zig zag eel in there :D Beyond that I'm unsure as my knowledge is mostly of cichlids.

Oh and since you asked for pics in the title here are two of my ZZ, he hangs out with my loaches.

Aww, he's cute.. I have had tire track eels, but they were very small, and they have all died for some reason. The last one I had lived for a year, and then dead..

Yeah I'm totally an eel nut, I've stayed away from TT's and Fire Eels though cause I just don't have the tank space. Bought a Peacock Eel but s/he hasn't come out of hiding, it's strange cause my ZZ never hid in my tank, even though when I bought him from the LFS s/he dug emself under the gravel.

So yeah, my vote goes for an eel.

After reading this thread, I took a nap, and ended up having a dream about these cute little eels. I definitely will have to get one! I will make sure I get a nice plump one, as I think that's why mine died.. they were tiny.

Thinking about adding some smaller top dwelling fish.. probably danios, or maybe get some minnows..
