6ft tank was going to do a pleco, but I decided against that would like to add a small school of spotted silver dollars too.
I am scared the Senegal and delve i being too small.

the tank is currently cycling no fish yet

Senes grow fast, and they get fairly decent sized I have a couple at the foot mark and THICK that I picked up at maybe 5 inches, only took them about 4-5 months to hit that size. Oddly mine did seem to grow in spurts. But as long as you are not putting babys in with medium to large Oscars I think you would be fine. Dels are awesome I have a couple growing out now to be introduced to my polly patrol

Ok sounds good the plan was to get 6 inch bichir, and 3 inch Oscar I just don’t want to have issues when full grown, but I will look into Senegal, delhezi or Palma whatever I can find in a nice size

wish I could do ornate but I don’t want a low quality of life with my fish

guessing silver dollars should be ok :p

I like plants so I don't keep silver dollars lol but I would assume, false gar or pink tail chels could be cool top water fish as well.

Dang. A sen at 12 inches in 4-5 months?? I got my albino sen at 5” and two years later he’s only 9”

*shrugs* my Delhizi has grown a lot slower, I got two marbled at the same time one has grown 2 inches the other 4 inches. All I can figure is some of them are food tyrants :-\.
I do feed the dreaded beef heart when they are young which may attribute to the growth. I also notice that the my lazy pellet eating guys are bigger, and the ones who tend not to go for the pellets but instead ghost shrimp have grown slower. I am seeing the same thing happen with a pair of African leaf fish I picked up a month back, come to think of it same thing with my latest two African butterflies as well.

like I said I am not sure, alls I can figure is some are pigs and some are not.

Just a thought, could it be a wild caught vs CB difference in some of these fish that are causing inconsistent growth ?
