i have an established 125 gallon ca/sa tank which is in the grow out process.

occupants ( largest is 2.5 inches)
3 midas
2 gt's
1 ebjd
2 convicts
2 rose queens
1 pleco

in the end i would like to keep 1 of each except for the cons. my question is regarding their behavior as i would like them to somewhat get along. right now 2 midas pick on the 3rd and one gt chases the other. will their behavior change as they grow or can i begin the weed out process now?

my goal is to have
1 midas and/or rose queen
1 gt
1 ebjd
1 pleco
2 black and 2 pink cons

it will only get worse w/ the midas thats for sure. so you have 2 GTs? you may have 2 of the same sex or just showing dominace over territory/food. how is the EBJD doing? i heard they are kinda mild tempered compaired to reg JD. the pleco can hold his own. you should get rid off the other 2 midas unless you think you have a pair that may mate, never owned them so i can't offer sexing advice. you should snap some pics. the mida may end up running the show i'd start the weed out proccess and watch them every day to notice if their fins are getting torn up. some times over night one of my FM would get pummeled by the Salvini wich was way smaller when i got him and passed the male FM and started pushin my O around

the ebjd and maybe the GT's are not at the same level of aggression of those midas, I'd keep them separate

one of the midas just bullys the whole tank. i would hate to get ride of him because he is a potential beaut (white midas with blue eyes). the ebjd is very relaxed doesnt bother anybody unless some trys to nip at him. I know one of the gts is a female because it has already laid a batch of eggs. I think the 2 midas and the female gt may be going to go back to the lfs. (the female gt is the one chasing the other gt). anymore oppinons and information is greatly appreciated....

keep an eye on the devil... he may clear out the whole tank. Usually devils are a more agro than the others. Thiink it is a possible that two tanks might be in order. Just keep an eye on it. Good luck.

how would i control algae? i purchased my pleco mainly for cleanup

you control algae manually. Using a brush or one of those magnet devices.
