Hello! This is my first post here although I've been following for quite some time.
I have been keeping fish for a couple years now, but the largest tank I have experience with is a 55 gallon. Well, (and I blame you folks for this) the othe day I came across a 125 gallon tank with stand on the extreme cheap and decided it was a great idea to buy it for a fire eel tank I've been dreaming of.
The tank came with lights, a no name heater, and some undergravel filters that look like they were manufactures when Michael Jackson was still black. I was happy it actually held water, to tell the truth.
SO, my question is, what is the ideal setup for this tank for a fire eel with some good sized clown loaches (I've read they will be compatible, correct me if I'm wrong, and feel free to suggest other tank mates for the eel)?
I have a spare 20 gallon I could use as a sump setup and I know I'm probably going to need powerheads, better heater, better lighting, back up equipment. Please steer me in the best direction to go, with specifics. I love my fish and want them to be as healthy as possible!
Thank you!
