I have a 125 gallon tank and want some stocking schemes. Anything that eats live food will work. This will be my first monster tank so nothing that takes an extreme amount of care.

i have 2 clown knives 3 tinfoil babs 2 commons plecos and a pictus cat in my 125, but that will only last me so long.

oscars are fun
jags are beautiful
knife fish, my fav :D

What would go good with jaguars?

Why must it eat live food? Feeders are usually disease ridden and poorly nutritional, not to mention expensive.

Just about any fish you buy will eat "live" food if it can get its mouth around them. Even Guppies will eat other baby guppies etc.

Eh, I've got to question your live feeding requirement.

Anyhow, as always I recommend bichirs, preferably an upperjaw collection for that tank size.

theres tons of different options, new world or old world cichlids, bichirs, dats, ect. i have peaceful new world cichlids in my 125g with bichirs and a dat. its a great setup so far.

go with a Paratilapia, a couple other cichlids...and a couple of polypterus for the bottom

Is this going to be the largest tank you get? if so you need to make sure the fish won't outgrow the tank. so don't get anything like a RTC or temensis.

But if you go with jags you should just stay with the larger cichlids (sp) although I did have two big jags in a 125 with two pseudacanticus plecos ( L375 and L600) and a 5" raphael cat and one ornate bicher. So it's all about the fish some are more tollerant of tankmates then others.
