Hi guys, I know there are a lot of these threads but I haven't seen any with the stock that I would like to have.

My wife has given me the green light for my first 125 gallon tank (72x18x22). :headbang2I am in the planning & research stages trying to get everything in order before getting my new tank.

I currently have a 55 with a 1 inch breidohri that will go in the 125. I was thinking about possible tank mates but I am not sure if my wish list will work out.

So here it goes,

1 x Paratheraps Breidohri
1 x Nandopsis Haitiensis
1 x Herichthys Cyanoguttatus

I would like to get the other two about the same size as my breidohri if possible. I am open to suggestions but please keep this in mind:

1. Breidohri is a must (one of my favorite fish)
2. I will no longer have the 55 gallon so, no back up if there is some serious aggression.

That is it guys, any help would be appreciated.

Pike chicids would work in my opinion silver dollars hybrid cat which grow slow maybe a pbass and just have a lot of hiding spots and jut remember this is my opinion it may work it might nnot

I would recommend a 24 inch wide vs 18 (72x24x22), it really makes all the difference.

Hi, I think there is a good chance those three fish will live happily together if all introduced to a 125 gallon tank at roughly 1". I have in the past kept similar combinations with success, starting at slightly larger (2") although not the exact same species. The only thing you may find is that there is a lot of competition for food when they are growing so you have to ensure they are all getting enough and not being bullied into the corner. If that happens you could try a different individual fish of the same species which's character is better suited. When they are that small it is unlikely you will become that attached to them and you should be able to just swap them.

Give it a go, they are all beautiful fish, in particular the Breidohri. I would like to keep them one day. Together they would make for a very nice community.

Yeah, it was a hard fought battle just to get this tank :). I gave my wife the choice (Damn Compromising) and she felt it would be better room wise for the 18in.

I agree with you. What would you switch out for? I was thinking a RT instead of the Haitiensis because of the possible bloat? Really not sure...

We all say what fish we would love to have when we do not have the room but when you do have a good sized tank its now like WOW what the hell do I get!!!

I think that is a good fish list. But remember it all comes down to individual fish as to whether they get along.

Yeah, I am just hopping that they will co-exist since the haiti and Texas will be bought at the 1.5 inch mark. I tried getting a quick measurement of my breidohri and it looks like 1 1/4 inches.
