Hi everyone, new to the site, though a follower to many threads!
im setting up a 125 south american tank very soon, and while cycling, id like to get my stocking ideas together.
im without a doubt including a tiger oscar, for they are my absolute favorite fish ever!
my curiosity is including blood parrots, jack dempseys, green terrors, jewels, convicts and severums (green or terquoise).
ive herd of terrors being pretty nice buggers, but were dealing with SA cichlids were thier personality is the first real difference in what will cooperate (am i correct on this?!!). also have herd jewels are pretty good at holding thier own as well.
so, lets say i wanted one Oscar, a blood parrot, (1-2) jack dempseys, (if it will work) 1 green terror, one jewel (again if it will work), One convict, and maybe one -two severums as they are pretty big sweethearts.
would you say its possible, as im aware its 50/50 most likely with these guys, that somthing along this mix would work?! Fyi im not picky on anything except the Oscar and jack dempsey.
ANY thoughts/ideas are greatly appreciated!!
also, just a little on what i have for a setup: ill use some playsand, my filters are an Ehim 2217, and a pennplax cascade 700, 2 heaters, standard lighting, some bubbles of course, and plenty of rocks etc etc.
