I have a standard 125 (6x2x1.5) and I want to build a stand. I used uaru joeys design for my 4' tanks using all 2x4's. can I also use just 2x4's for the 6 foot stand? I've seen it done, but the majority of six foot stands I've seen use 2x6 for the top box. I also want to make the stand a little taller than average. It will be mostly viewed while standing. Any suggestions?

It really depends on how long a span you want between the legs. Use the same leg spacings as your 4' tank with the 6' and you'll be fine.
