-1 male severum
-1 male chocolate (Hypselecara temporalis)
-Pair of blue acara (Aequidens pulcher)
-4 angels
-20 columbian tetras
-12 corydoras
-1 common pleco
-1 black ghost knifefish (only one I worry about)

What are your guys thoughts on this? Am I overstocking? I have 125 gallon with 35 gallon sump tank and 1500 gph overflow. The 4 angelfish must come as they outgrew my 35 gallon tank.

The tetras would likely get eaten, and a Common Pleco would outgrow your tank, along with producing a lot of bioload. I have a 210, and my Pleco is currently 12"+, and he produces at least 40% of the waste in the tank. Other than the Tetras, everything on the list should be fine.

Replace the common with a BN? And what would you recommend if I wanted to go with some sort of schooling fish

The common Pleco should be replaced with another species. There are many to choose from, as most of the better looking species only get 4-8". Rainbowfish do well with larger fish, and would make a good schooling fish.

Any amount of rainbow fish you recommend? I'm upgrading from a 35 gallon tank, so this tank is a huge upgrade and learning experience for me. I've had tanks for years but nothing like this

I understand. I went from a 20 to a 210, and there was a lot I learned along the way. The members of this forum helped me a lot.

I'm not sure about exactly how many rainbows you should keep, but 8-10 should be a good starting point.
