I'm going to be upgrading my 55 gallon tank to a 125 gallon tank in the near future and would like to stock it with the following:

2 Severums (heros notatus and super red)
6 Geophagus red head tapajos
1 EBJD
Large school of tetras (around 30)

Would this setup work or would it be overstocked? I am already aware that the EBJD does not fit in with the other stock in terms of geographic location, and I'm fine with that. I just need advice regarding the stocking of those species. I am open to suggestions as well.

I agree with Peat. What kind of tetras are you talking about? Small ones will end up as expensive feeders as the Sevs and EBJD grow.

I was thinking of adding a few different species...possibly lemon tetras, bleeding heart tetras, and some Congo tetras. Any other advice/opinions on the proposed stock?

I kept Serpae tetras with my Sevs for a while. They did well untill the Sevs spawned, then they killed all of them.

I did the exact change 3 weeks ago, except I only had 3 red caps and someone at gcca.net suggested that while the geos should be safe from the sevs but they might be intimidated by the sevs due to their size when they are fully grown and since scared fish usually hide and aren't as colorful I went with a nic. She's still smalller than the geos but so far doesn't even pay any attention to them.
