Are you trying to buy from someone on here or just need advice on where to go? My fiancé and I just ordered a new heater for my fowlr tank from drs foster and smith. They come cheap on there for a good heater that will last. They do free shipping a lot of times too.

Buy Eheim. If your local pet store can get them cheaper then online go for your local. Drfostersmith is a good place, there are others too.

I bought a Hydor inline heater a little over a year ago, still going strong and I like having less equipment in my tank.

I use a 500w jbj titanium heater with controller and it works great. I used to have hydor inline heaters and they were good but after a year they started to cause the impeller covers on my fluvals to pop off which allowed the impellers to dislodge. If you're on a budget the eheim is good, but they may be the ugliest heater ever made.

I like my eheims, been reliable so far using 2 250W in my 125, runs perfectly at 80 spring-fall and 78 during the middle of the winter
