125 gallon tank with no center brace HELP PLEASE

Hey I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a 125 gallon tank with no center braces?? It is a older tank and i can buy the tank for a $ 125 dollars

I just picked one up for $40. After calling a few people I found that it is an old oceanic tank, and they did not come with center bracing. The bracing/trim is "picture framed" and doesn't give any support being that each side is a separate piece and only siliconed to the glass that it is sitting on.

My local fish store is ordering top and bottom bracing for me...

What thickness is the glass? Even if it doesn't currently have a center brace, it would not be too difficult to add one yourself once you buy it. $125 is a pretty good deal on a 125g tank IMO.

if its an older tank, it has thicker glass and never had a center brace.

those tanks were better built IMO.

enjoy it. but reseal it first.

One of my 125s is a really old tank too. I believe oceanic as well, and there is no additional bracing besides the perimeter frame on top and bottom. Its in my basement, so I'm not too worried, but like 12 volt man said the thing seems sturdier than my new one.
