ok so right now i got a 125 gallon tank and i want to know wat i can get for it with my polys all i got right now is 2 senalus 1 delhezi and 1 palmas polli and maybe some reticulated stingrays sometime soon. so yea wat else can i get.

Well you could stick with lower jaws... and get some Palmas Buettekoferi or some Palmas Palmas, or get some big boys, like some Endlis, Laps n such. Just remember they DO get big

Have fun filling your tank!yea i was thinking about some type of catfish and more bichirs so yea. i have noticed that when u breed bichirs they look no where near as good as wild adults do. but im thinking about a lap and a endli and another delhezi and or a ornate with the rays does that sound fine and mabey some tinfoils or balas.

Consider what you want the tank to be like in the end - do you want active fish? If so, upper jaws (particularly senegalus and palmas polli) may be some of your best bets. Or are you going to have other species at the top to be the active fish, with big lunkers at the bottom?

yea i want some active fish for the top/mid and i wantsome cool large bottem monsters. i have breed most bichirs so i know how to take care of them. yea i might breed them again but they just dont look as good as the wilds.

I agree - more info please! What species have you successfully bred? What do you mean about the offspring not looking as good as the wild caught fish?
the CB tend to lose pattern keeper of the ropes, but i really doubt that this guy have actually breed polys
i have breed many diff kinds and i have had some unwanting hybreds i wasnt to happy about cuz i didnt have to seprate and the babys didnt get eatin the best looking one i got was from a lap and a endli i didnt keep any of course cuz i dont like hybreeds but i did grow one up for awhile then i sold to one of my very good friends hes not gona breed them he wants instant gradifacation so thats y i was the breeder for most of his tanks. but yea i have breed laps with laps orantes with ornates i tryed to breed some ansorgii but it only worked out once before i down graded.
well the full grow ones i had didnt look as good cuz the colors wernt the except on the lapXendli if it wasnt a hybreed it would be my second fav bichir next to a PBB. i didnt take pics at the time cuz it was about 10 years ago just a few months before my first major down grade.
the orantes came out ok but i still wouldnt call the a high grade but i onlt breed with high grade bichirs they just didnt have the markings.
the ansorgii came out the best of the pure breed ones but i had to sell off the babys but no one wanted them and they wanted more sens and ornates so i sold of all my babys to them and i got about $10 for each at 2 inches and i had about 50 for both sens and orantes
i sold most of the laps and ansorgii to my friend who shiped them to a few places in canada and other places he made some money off them and i sold the endliXlap to my friend and it died really recently from bloat it was a 24 inch beast. he bought it from me for like $80 cuz he liked it so much. i was gona give for free at like 11 inches long.
i did right a few things down in a book type thing once i find it ill type it all out and post it up. i have breed many thing and i got from breeding 1 platinum endli and a platinum seny and my fav was a platnium lap which i think i have pics of ill look for them and if i find them ill try to post them.
