125 gallon thought

I'm thinking about having an aggressive tank. I would like to have 1 Black belt, 1 Dovii, and a Buttiko, would that work out?

Not really. the dovii will out grow that tank. but the butti and the black belt will do fine.

What would you suggest I swap for a dovii?

What about a red devil or midas?

Get a more mellow and better looking vieja. Dovii will get too big, try a red tiger mota or something. You might be able to pull off 3 large cichlids in that tank.

Possibly...I know my grammodes would not tolerate tankmates in my 125gallon. He was 7" at the time and destroyed a slightly larger female dovii and barred midas. Kind of a waste of space, having a single male grammodes in a 125gal, but I loved that fish. Mine along with most I have seen have been pscyhotic, maybe he will luck out a find a more mellow one. Grammodes!
