Sorry but new at this. Have a 125 in the wall which can been seen from both front and back, so have two fluval405 on each ends of the tank. Getting alot of waste build up in the middle of the tank. Do I not have enough filtration power to pick up the waste in the middle

I don't think it's a filtration problem per se but rather a flow problem Two 405's should be enough for that tank but you have 4. the problem is that they are basicly fighting each other because you have two intakes and two returns on each side. A far better use would be to have all 4 intakes on the same side and all 4 outlets on the other. The way to accomplish this is to run 4 pieces of pvc from the INTAKES on the farthest side of the tank to the cannisters. (cut the existing hoses and clamp them to the pvc pipes) Then run the outlets on short hoses to the close (in relation to the cannisters) side of the tank. This will set up a cross flow situation that will keep the whole tank spotless.

You run the intakes on the long side to prevent a loss of flow. Cannisters basicly take syphoned water and then use the pump as a return so the return is where you pick up backpressure. (head) give the intake pipe runs a slight downward angle towords the cannisters. It's really a lot less complicated than I make it sound....

Yeah, Just get some strong powerheads blowing along the back will take out the dead spot.

Sure....thats closer to what you need. if you set them up in a cross flow then I wouldnt bother with the powerheads...all they would do is waste power. You want the intakes as deep in the tank as possible and the returns from the cannisters just under the serface.
