I am about to repair my 125. The seam split on the side. I removed the side piece of glass and removed all of the silicone to reseal the whole tank. When I put the glass back in should I clamp the sides or just use tape to hold it in place? Once the side piece is in should I allow it to cure before resealing the whole tank, or can I do it all at once.

1) Just use Tape 2) Do it all at once.

plan carefully though, re-sealing just a side pane is very difficult, because it fits in between the front and the back, so the silicone will tend to scrape off when you put the pane in place. Usually I'd recommend removing and resealing the front pane when a corner seam splits, or tearing down the whole tank.

This is a very old all glass tank with no frame and this side piece is beveled very slightly so more silicone will be on the inside than on the outside. I repaired the other side years ago but I didn't reseal the whole tank.
