I'll be setting up my 125 gallon tank soon. I'll be stocking it with 10 Red Belly Piranha. All about 4 inches a piece.

Here is how I will be setting it up.

125 Glass Tank
1 - Ebo Jager 300 watt heater
1 - FX5 with foam blocks and full of scrubbies
1 - AC110 with sponge and bio max.

Heres my question:

I want to use 3M Colorquartz T grade in black. How high should I have my intakes on both the FX5 and my AC110?

Will I have problems with the Colorquartz and the filters I will be using?

And finally, should i add more filtration?

Thanks.

Pics coming when tank is all setup.

I have 13 RBPs in a 125 of my own. Allthough I am setting up a second 125 soon. they will outgrow the 125 faster then you think TRUST ME lol. You should look into at lest a second AC110 Ps a very very messy eaters and you will either need to change your filter media often or get an extra filter.

As for the color quarts IDK I myself am looking at getting some but cannot seem to find somone local that carries it. But from what I have found out as long as your current isn't great enough to stir up the sand (color quartz) you should not have to much of a problem with the filters.

There is however some debate on weather or not HOB filters and sand go together very well.

Do you think that i'll be fine with another ac110 and just adding a single extension to it instead of adding the second?

The single extension is what I am going to do with this new tank but I am adding two penguin 350Bs instead of AC110s b/c thats whats on my other tank. and the higher the inlet the less chance that sand will get in them
