So im getting a 125g wide tomorrow an ! ive been growing some fish for about 2 months now in a 55g and i would like to know how much water i should change per week with 1 emperor 400 and a canister filter

I have 2 oscars, 1 green terror, 1 jaguar, 3 fire mouths, 1 fire eel, 1 rope fish, 1 tiger bichir, 1 bushynose

Also im going to put the filter thats on my 55 on it once i get all my fish in

Sounds like your overstocked. Your nitrates will tell you how much water you need to change. Once full grown you will probably have to change 75% twice a week at minimum.

What does aqadvisor say? I'd take their advice on water changes, then double it. Depends on the size of your fish. Fully grown adults in that tank, you'll be overstocked and will probably need to do 80% water changes twice a week. Also do you have enough filtration? Oscars are super messy. What canister filter? I have 2 canisters (Unimax 700) and 2 AC 110 HOBs for my 180G which is less stocked than your tank.

I would do a 75% once a week or two 40-50% per week.
