Here are some pics of my nearly completed 125G + 55G stand. Sorry I don't have any construction pics - I forgot to bring my camera along to the shop. I will be making a matching canopy soon.

I can't figure out how to anchor my images in the text so you may have to mix & match the captions here:

Front View - I will add a top ring of trim after I put the tank on.
Front w/doors open - these little doors provide access to the 55G refugium/sump.
An inside view of the left side so you can see how the beams are put together.
A shot of the backside.
Another inside view, from the back this time.

Nice stand! I recently made one with gramps out of oak! I'll have to post some pics when I go home from college this weekend! Are you going to stain it or leave it? I think it looks great the way it is, but a stain would definitely bring out the knots!!! How long did it take you?

Nice looking stand! Are you using the 55 underneath for a sump?

I'm going to leave it natural. The trim is Cedar so it should darken up a bit when it's varnished. I spent a few hours designing it and my dad and I put it together in about 8 hours last weekend. It's all pine except for the trim and plywood.
