You definitely should set it up! I love my Peacocks but if I had to do it all over again Id probably pick 2-3 Peacocks and the rest would be Mbunas. My Mom has a 55g tank, she has 12 Mbunas and 1 German Red Peacock and I love to watch her tank, its always so so lively! I love how my Peacocks look but they can be boring at times. I dont have the heart to sell them or trade them in for some Mbunas. I wish I could add 10 or so Mbunas but Id be afraid they would pick on my Peacocks and stress them out or worse kill them. :(

excellent camera. what kind do you use?

Its a Canon SD870. For a point and shoot, it takes pretty good pictures. It doesnt have alot of setting but it does have a manual mode with some adjustments and it has different settings you can use such as aquarium / underwater. I use the aquarium setting, it helps take action shots that are otherwise blurry with the standard setting. Macro / digital macro mode is very good w/ the camera!

Tank looks great either way, not too crowded and plenty of hiding spaces.
I want to go mbuna with my 55G but not sure which species to keep.
Last time around I had a pair of Pseudotropheus crabro, then 3 yellow labidochromis, then some other random mbuna.

very nice fish and nice setup...love the colours

You cant go wrong with yellow labs. I got my Mom some yellow labs / rusties and a yellow tail acei for here 55g. The rest I just said to my LFS owner I'll take that one, oh that ones has nice colors, yeah...I'll take that one too. Oh buy 3 get one FREE ok, I'll take those 4 then. :) So many fish, so little tanks, I wish I had a real monster tank to keep them all in!!

After setting up my tank last Friday I put my T5 light fixture on my glass tops. The fixture itself has little lips that lifts it up about 1/4" so that it doesnt sit directly on top of the glass and I though Id be ok but I was wrong as usual. I came down the next morning and saw that my left glass top had cracked. So anyone out there thinking of buying a T5HO quad fixture, make sure you USE the legs. I finally got the new glass tops in so heres a full tank shot. :naughty:

I was thinking of adding some fake plants that I had in my 90g. Theyre a plastic coral plant, I know plastic plants :irked: but they are ok looking. They have red tips and are stringing looking. I like how they sway in the current from the Koralias.

I was also thinking of putting all 3 rocks together to make one big rock formation in the middle of the tank and then maybe adding the fake plants on each side? I know in the end its up to me since I have to look at it everyday, but what do yall think??

That's an awesome tank, awesome fish and awesome shots :D Really love the way it looks and I love all the different colors u have going in there. Also IMHO I like the 3 rocks together as one large rock better. Even if u don't add fake plants. I've been personally thinking about getting a peacock tank like that since forever. If you don't mind and if you know all the names could you tell me what's your stock list?
