One sub adult jag, 3 tiger oscars. if two of the oscars pair up ill give back one. im sure the jag will be ok. all get along great. just a thin layer of gravel so i can vacuum easier. i dont believe fish enjoy bare bottom tanks at all. i will get a background cover next week to hide all of the stuff. a few rocks for stimulus.

i thought about giving the third oscar back regardless and getting 3 tinfoils to go wiht the two oscars and jag. im already doing weekly 50% water changes(although not necessary) because its easy with the python. i let the tank do its thing while i run the dog lol

or maybe just keep the jag, 2 oscars, and an ornate bichir. will the bichir be ok for life in a 72x18? im afraid a senegal will get eaten and i can only get those two types around here

nice

more rocks

Personally I don't like mixing jags with oscars. Oscars tend to be too passive compared to jags

update pic. i adjusted settings to make it appear more as it does in real life b/c the camera makes it looks yellow/green. you can see all 4 fish.

i may return all 3 oscars and get mbuna to go with the jag. feed them a plant based diet with spirulina pellets/flakes and veggies...and hand feed my jag smelt/earthworms/and CA pellets. I know how many people feel about keeping Americans with Africans. Centrals like the same ph as Africans and they both come from fish farms these days too. I have the bloat issue covered with the diet.
