Looking to switch my 125g CA tank over to a Discus tank. I currently run 2 XP3 canister filters. Thinking of going bare bottom and driftwood. Should I put in 8 or 10 discus to grow out?

for a grow out. i recommend using a smaller tank. say 40-60gallon. as raising juvies u need lots of feeding and waterchange. so it will be easier faster and cheaper then say on a 125gallon. u can comfortable fit 10 adults in a 125gallon.

What size is a discus consider adult?

 Presently have 8 sub-adults with plans for 5/6 more. Tank was planted but now BB. Soon a thin layer of quartz sand & manzanita driftwood will be the decor. "T"
