125g Ideas

I'm looking for ideas for my 125g, I'll have 2 small motoros in it until they go into a larger tank, 7 medium silver dollars and 3 small banded leporinus. I want larger fish like a gar or some other wierd fish, I don't like cichlids besides oscars but oscars wont work.

I do need help deciding seeing I am a bit new to the larger fish community. BUMP

florida gar. some times dont do well with rays but many have not had a problem

Florida gars will need a bigger tank than a 125 eventually (probably sooner than later)...I think the guy suggesting a florida gar assumed you'd move it to the bigger tank that your rays will be going into.

If you like your silver dollars, you could always get a few more of a different type (i have 6 common and 5 red hook silver dollars in my 125).

Yeah I was thinking to upping the numbers to 15 or so but i also want variety.
