Love your Oscars! Nice tank too, and especially like your decore.. What are the rocks made of and where did you get them? Wanting to know, because the ones like that at lfs are sold by the #lb., and not very much to choose from. And due to the 'wonderful' snow we're still getting in WI the landscaping/gardening seasonal places aren't open yet. Yours' look excellent!, in all the sizes and colors that you picked for your Oscars. I want some...

The rocks are a Northern Ontario granite if I'm not mistaken. I got them from a small local landscaping place located near Waterloo, Ontario. I never buy rocks from fish stores. In my area they charge $4-8 a pound. The landscaping place charges about 20 cents a pound for better looking rocks then the fish store offers. That's $480 for my 120lbs of stone if I bought it in a fish store vs. $24 I payed at my local landscaping place.

Its unfortunate that you still have snow, but unless your made of money wait till the landscaping place opens.
