After a week of moderate/heavy feeding, I am happy to report nitrates at 10ppm before the w/c. I'd again like to emphasize how much easier a huge tank is for the Oscar and keeper. I mean, wow. 10ppm AND adequate feeding? This seems like a dream...
knifegill;3994085; said:Just the one baby O at 12". I got one year ago at four inches, so he's got to be around 16 months old. The other fish in it are four baby green x pumpkinseed sunnies, one adult green sunny, and one L200 pleco. There is also a ball of java moss bigger than a cat and some water lettuce and other floating plants. Gets sunlight in the morning and grows some algae, too, but I take the algae off every week. So every living thing in the tank has green on it. The Oscar turns olive when seeing its reflection at night and getting aggressive. Three different types of large HOB's, one for mechanical and two for biological. Yep. That about sums it up.
