I currently have a 125G tank with 2 O's (about 6"), A gold Servum 4", Green Terror almost 4", 3 Tinfoils about 4" each and a pleco approx 5".
Would this be too much of a load for my 125 gallon tank?

I was thinking of getting rid of the Tinfoils and the Gold Severum and getting 3 or 4 silver dollars...would that work?
I don't want to be cleaning the tank everyday, literally, and I want my fish to be comfortable as well.

Thanks in advance for the hlp!

it seems like in the future it will be overstocked, those tinfoils will get large so i would ditch em and go for 4 sd's. thats still alot of fish when full grown.

The oscars would be a load when adults by themselves. I have 2- 7" in a 100 and I have to change massive amounts of water. I have a rena xp3 and an ac 110 I also have a powerhead.....Not enough I still change ALOT of water.......Untill I joined MFK a couple months ago, I was under the impression a 100 was ample room for two O's (lfs said so, Internet research categorically supported this thought, and so on) Its enough room if you WANT to change alot of water! I'm "stuck" with my O's (I love the ---- out of 'em) I will be getting a 300+ For the so I can own them for longer then I will proly own my car! Hope this helps.

I hear all this talk about Tin Foils getting huge but I have kept MANY and they have never reached sizes of +10" most stayed under 6"

I hear the same thing about Bala sharks... I think its like people saying Pacu may get 48".....MAYBE in the wild.

you should try feeding them a good quality pellet food - they will grow big on this stuff.

I have been keeping barbs for years and they all have got big once they start eating shimp pellets.

I have 2 twelve inch ones in my 65 right now, and 2 18 inch barbs (a related species called Yellow Fin barbs) in my 90.

if you powerfeed barbs, they will get big!:)

6-7" is a nice size for Tinfoils. Last year I had one reach that length in about 5-6 months while in a 55 gallon tank. How long have you had these barbs that stayed under 6"? I would only hope mine stop growing at around 6-7" , so I can keep them :D

We all know you have some super freak Tinfoils :D (that I want!)

How long did it take for your 2 Tinfoil barbs to get to 12"?
