Well this is what I came up with for my first sump rough draft. I feel like I'm going a little baffle crazy, but I think it should still work fine. The sump will be an old school 6ft 125g and it'll be for a stingray tank. Please let me know what you think.

HOB filter sock - Bubble trap - Heater - Flood Barrier - Pump - Bubble trap - Refugium

Here's how I think it'll look when filled.

Chamber with filter sock should be lower,, clearly there is no benefit to having it so high with the way that drawing looks.... I would honestly just get rid of the first 3 baffles if your only filtration is going to be that filter sock. Bring it down to the level of the baffle just before the pump, and allow the filter socks to run mostly out of water as they filter much better that way.

check that thread.. i already had my filter sock rant.

Filter socks do a good job preventing bubbles, unless they are pouring bubbles out the top which happens when submerged.

looking good! also i dont think you need that third baffle coming from the left. should actuall move it to after the heater section. gota force the water, down up down up ect

the reason why i reverse the last baffle is cause i think you want all the water to flow towards the pump.

Here is my new update. Baffles will be shorter and refugium will be moved to my two connected 55g water drums.

Socks, pads, egg crate, K1, pump
