So I'm working on a stocking list for a 3rd 6' 125g tank. I have one with 2 oscars and an L095, one that is being put together now thats a community tank, and then the 3rd 125g I need to stock. I want a Green Terror/Gold Saum for a centerpiece fish, but I dont know what else to put with it. I was thinking a Jack Dempsey and then a couple larger plecos (watermelon royal and sunshine). How would you stock a tank this size around a Green Terror. Thanks!

If i were to try cichlids, they would be south american, the Jack dempsey is from central america. Though the jack could probably do fine in the same water as the green terror if both are aquarium strains of the fish. If you are getting a fish that's closer to wild stock I would do some research on the water conditions needed and base tankmates off that.
Beyond choosing south american fish, I would go for fish dissimilar enough to the green terror that it won't view them as a threat and attack it. Pinktail chalceus would be a decent choice for example. Cichlids may clash with your GT male, non-cichlids will have higher chance of success. Maybe something like belly-crawler pike would stay out of the GT's way.

I really like Flagtails, do you think they are different enough to keep with a GT? I don't need a ton of fish, Im just trying to avoid it being the ONLY fish in the tank.

Your GT will let you know if it will allow the flagtail or any other fish in the tank.

Yup, this right here. But I do think a flagtail would be a decent fish to try it with.
Also smallish pleco species should be a good bet, and I would do some SA dithers like large colombian tetras.

I have two Heros in w/ my GT harem for a few months now that's been working well.. but its a 240.. maybe could work w/ a couple rotkeils... or get the opposite sex GT...

Also agree w/ rocksor and gourami, plecos and / or PTC have worked in my GT tank

A female gt and a group of hoplo catfish would be my suggestion. Worked great for me and hoplo cats are so entertaining.
