Sure, as a grow out that would probably be fine for a while. But after the fish are about 6-7" you may start having real aggression problems and need to move them to the 350. Some of those fish grow very quickly, 1" per month roughly, so the 125 probably would not last all that long.

Its gonna be very difficult to do in a 125 I think, I did a similar grow out project in my 120 gallon a few years back and it ended in disaster, everyone got along great until about 5 inches and then one morning I woke up to a massacre, my keep a close eye on the tank if you choose to do it

honestly its going to be hit and miss some of those fish have varying personality's for example im afraid to get into my 3 inch JDs tank to clean as he kills everything even trys to kill my baby del bichirs through the divider and I dont even trust him with my 8 inch oscars

I could see maybe a mixed vieja community, and my cuban pair are still young and new to me so I can't comment on their adult behavior. But when it comes to any parachromis or amphilophus I would highly recommend only keeping pairs for any long term success.

I heard RTM are rank top 10 aggressive ca/sa.. What else was in your 120gallon?
Yeah in my opinion way meaner than a jaguar, if I'm not mistaken there was a RTM, a convict, a black belt, a red tail catfish and a red devil
