12inch+ sail-fin pleco

My sail-fin is in a tank with a smaller common pleco once food goes in its all over the sail-fin attacks the common pleco the worst chases my jardini around he settles down after a hour or two. Can any tell me why he is so aggressive??

I would be willing to bet that you have a L001 Pterygoplichthys Joselimaianus instead of a true sailfin (P. Gibbiceps) L001's can become very aggressive. What size tank are they in? I have a 14"er in my 220 and he still goes crazy from time to time.

He swims around with the other pleco on his mouth. This is a different pic of him the other pic was taken about 6 months ago. Here is a better one.

I had an aggressive pleco, so I just got rid of him, I would suggest you do the same unless you have a sense of connection to this fish.

Yeah I have had him for about 4 years. Can't get rid of him wait until the toga is bigger then it will be on the other foot haha.

I stand corrected, that is a P. Gibbiceps. True sailfin and a beauty at that. They are usually less aggro. What are you feeding him?

He eats prawns haha wafer flakes bloodworms really anything that hits the bottom.
