13 Banned foods around the world still allowed in the US

I've always said the FDA is corrupt organization. You give them enough money they'll approve anything as safe to put in your body.
check the slideshow they say don't eat any of those things you see as ingredients in food you buy.

This is a perfect case in point of a little knowledge is dangerous. All countries have food ingredient laws. The US may allow certain ingredients that are banned in other countries. But at the same time...there are ingredients allowed in foods in other countries...that we do not allow here in the US.

This really has nothing to do with the FDA being a corrupt organization.
 
They also don't make companies that declare foods as "fat free" to list oils as fats. It's rediculous. They are not out for our best interests whatsoever.
 
as always it's about profit.....the free market system at it's glorious worst(I wish this was as bad as it gets)..... ANYTHING FOR a BUCK....:headbang2... ACTUALLY this is common (profit maximizing at the expense of the consumers)... look closely at the way natural gas is harvested... that makes this look like small potatoes....:nilly:

Yep and those with pull are doing everything they can to make it worst.
 
as long as they are making profit it doesnt matter. i read that nowadays milk is very bad for u since nowadays they use all kind or growth hormones they put in cows and stuff and that milk increases your chance of getting cancer. but nowadays what doesnt give u cancer. the food industry is similiar to the pharmacy industry....as long as they are profitting it doesnt matter.
 
The more I learned about the food industry (not just here but worldwide) going through my degree in school and doing my own research- the less food things I ate. Not even "natural" or "organic" is compelety safe either - you really got to know where your food is comeing from now days. I am very picky about my food choices now. I don't even really trust the lables b/c there is so much they "don't have to label" ..
 
If you look at the descriptions in the link provided, virtually all the ingredients are added to increase the bottom line through speed, volume or visual appeal.

In other words, it's all about the $$.
