This is a 3rd person report. I wasn't there!
Shogun 13 day 2010 Arrived at the landing on the 26th of november around 5ish and it was cold as **** standing around waiting. Made quick work of loading and shoved off early around 6:30. Cleared the point about 8:30 and met in the galley for a short safety seminar where Norm informed us that we would be running straight to the Hurricane bank along with the xl. So the first 4 days went about the same, travel, travel, travel, travel. No boats had been to the bank for about 2 weeks, so the wahoo fishing could be decent. Spent some of the travel days making a few more wind ons and wiring up a few hooks and jigs for wahoo.

Cool break in the clouds pic.
Listened to the chargers/indy game on Sunday night, other than that small piece of excitement it was pretty damn boring. We did watch all 13 episodes of Spartacus, blood and sand which was interesting.
Arrived at the H early on Tuesday morning and found the Excel had already arrived and was anchored up on the bank. Norm wanted to do a tour of the bank so in the jigs went as we tried to put some skin on the boat. Decent wahoo fishing with some small school tuna mixed in. Had 6-7 wahoo hookups on my raider, but was unable to stick any fish. Bummer. Anchored up around noon and began tuna fishing. Anchor wouldnt stick so we had to reposition 3-4 times. Slow fishing though each time we would anchor. I drew first spot on the kite which I was excited about, but my hour came and went with no fish. My dad was third up and stuck a good size fish.

Not much action going on except for some small school tuna, caught and fished a small skippy that evening that got shark bit.

Neville getting worked over on a stock tld 30 from a larger fish, bruce ended up having to finish it off.

Made our way over to the shallow areas to pick up a few fliers for kite baits the next day.
Got up early wednesday morning to fish a glow jig and found a few other anglers doing the same for not much but skippies.
With no fish caught or hanging and none seen by 9am norm pulled the plug on the Hbank and headed off to the buffer zone at the big C.

Didnt leave until we picked up enough for lunch though!
Arrived at the buffer zone in the dark on thursday morning and motored around to find a sonar school.

I was the first to get bit and started us off with a decent fish, and my first keeper of the trip.
Around ten that morning we motored over to the Island to check in with the camp.

Excel was first in line to be checked that morning.

Aquarium fish hanging around for some scraps.
The next 4 days is kind of a blur to me, excellent fishing each morning and evening with a decent pick bite thoughout the day.

Booby birds were relentless and would attack your bait as soon as it hit the water. At times it was tough to get a bait into the zone.

Booby hanging out for a while.

Typical view of the deck while @ the buffer zone.

Ken with an average size fish, Ken was definitely hot stick of the trip.

Black trevally or chopa.

Night jack.

Sharks took a good share of fish this trip.

First time long range angler Bob caught and released a good size striper one day.

Me with another fish.
It was an excellent trip with tuna up to 290lbs, no big ones for me but I finished out my limit on yfts along with one hoo. Thanks to Norm, Bruce, Tommie, ChaChi, Andy, on the deck and Randy and Brian in the Galley. Im already pumped for next year.
