Florida gar is starting to outgrow my 75 gallon tank, doesn't look like I'm going to be able to build a larger tank any time soon. Had for 2 years, has been very active and had a big appetite for the last year, attacks my tinfoil barbs if there is no food for 2 days. I have only been able to get him to accept feeders, mainly because if I fast him, to try to convert to pellets, he will attack my other fish. I haven't given much thought to a price, I paid $40+$60 shipping, although there were other fish in the shipment. I will only sell to someone with an appropriate tank, so maybe some pics of your tank or something as proof.
