Bought these 4 fish labeled Red Terror and underneath said festae, so I picked up four of these guys. Main thing I need to know now is if these are true festaes or not?

Please excuse the tank, I just took about 4 inches of gravel out and there is junk all over the bottom. I have to siphon all the junk out here after I post this...

Here are 13 pics of the various little guys.. You guys tell me if they are true or false red terrors....

They are very flushed out from just going in the tank.. They seemed to have an almost orangish yellow tint to them in the LFS..

Let me know what you guys think.. For some reason I have a feeling they are false :irked:

just got one at a LFS and it looks alot like those... its a fake... mines about four inches and is like a dark red with black stripes with a spot on the back fin like yours..it looks good when they get bigger but i dont think they are...

Sorry, you only needed one pic :) They are uros.

Uro

yep, def. uros ;)

Definitely uropthalmus. I wouldn't be disappointed, they can be a great looking fish once they get larger and if you have a breeding pair. A friend had a large pair that had amazing colors. Not the bright red of a festae female or the gold/emerald colors of a male festae, but still good none the less.

Your pics are as bad as mine:ROFL:  But I too would have to say uros. They can be awesome fish feed well and watch them grow.
