Ya, yours seems better than mine. My red devil was already super aggressive at 3". I would give fantastic fins a call too, they are like 1 1/2 hours from hour house, they can get some pretty sweet stuff in.

Do you have contact info for FF? I'll call them too. It's about time I went to a decent fish store. I may swing out there in the next couple weeks. I don't know what happened to Lansing since 95, there used to be a handful of decent lfs's.

yep, here is their # 734-464-3523. That is the same here in kalamazoo, we now have pet supplies plus, petco, petsmart, MVpets(the best, my girlfriend works there), and few smaller ones.

Thanks for the #. Lansing area has Preuss, Pet supplies, Soldans, Petsmart, and Petco I think. Used to be Wet pets, Aardvark pets, Lansing pet center(very missed), Petland, and 2 Preuss locations.

Well I ended up going to a couple lfs's today. Soldans was the first stop. I was not impressed. Looked like a hospice for fish. Almost every tank had injured, sick, dying, or dead fish in it. The humane society should go rescue the fish there. So we passed on stocking with thier fish. On to Preuss.. I was surprised to see a much better selection than my last visit there. Preuss tends to be pricey but at least there the fish are healthy and the employees know a thing or two about the stock they sell. We ended leaving with two fish. My son got his gt and I got my synspylum! ;^)
My son almost had talked into an f1 salvini but the wife intervened.. Thats ok though we ended up with healthy, good looking fish. Here are some pics in thier temporary home with new tankmates(3"devil and 4" striped raph)!

nice, i thought they had some. You should have gotten the salvini. They are amazing looking. i have 2 right now. I thought they had some synspylum.

So all three cichlids in the tank are close in size with the gt being the smallest. All three are new to the tank so they have been jockeying for dominance since they have been introduced. The gt and syn liplocked for about 2 secs, none really backing down.Mostly just flaring and tail slaps but I will be keeping a close eye on them to prevent injury. Once the 130 gal is cycled and running I will stock with dithers. Is there still room for one more med. to lg. C.A. on my stock list. I just want to try and introduce all the cichlids at the same time to the 130 so they all get a fair shake at claiming thier own turf. I want to get the most out of this 130 without overstocking.

The girl said the syn was an f2 or f3. After the stress of transport and acclimation the syn darkened back up and looks stunning! I'll try to get some of the non-phone pics uploaded tonight after I go pick up the 130 gal!! I'm all giddy like a school girl!

sweet, Did you see all the neets they had? i picked up four of them. They are so cool. I got them home and they liplock all the time, no injuries but just fight over territory. you should have gotten the large syn. I love getting more tanks. i hope everything goes well. I can't wait to get my 240 in the spring. Their little green terrors were so cute.

So the devil is king@$$#©¡¢ of the temporary tank. It has the syn and gt hanging out by the powerhead. No real damage just really stressed. I'm having troubles with the 130 and had to stop setting it up for now. It's an older tank and doesnt have a cross brace. Gotta make one. Had the tank almost full and was bowing too much. I figured I would put together the magnum 350 that came with the tank, the magnet is bad. Gonna try making the brace tonight. Going to ebay for a new magnet. Hoping I don't have to separate the devil. Thats how my last 24 hours went.
