Hello fellow MFK'ers. In my opinion MFK has been aweful quiet past few days so i thought i would pay a visit to the bass forum!:D
I am soon enough starting an indoor pond project, pond will be about 1300g.
(300cm x 200cm x 80cm), i am just 15 so and there are financial crysis here in Iceland so this will take some time, 1 year or so until its ready.
Now lets get to the point!
The stocking will be this:
1x Tiger Shovelnose $25
1x Silver Arowana $100
1x Perruno Catfish $50
2x Ornatipinnis $50 each
??x Ocellaris Pbass. $25 each

Temensis would be $80 or so each.

The reasons i am not getting 5 silver aros and 10 rtg aros and Azul basses is because of the price and low quantity here. I posted the prices of the fish by them so you can see what im dealing with.

How many ocell bass should i get with the other fish without overstocking the tank. I could get Temensis maybe also but that would be alot more expensive.

My question is actually how many Ocells should i get and how does that setup sound? Good or bad?

Regards from Iceland,
Jakob

5 would be a good number to start with.

I think I might leave out the otrapinnis, all those fish are almost on another level and growth rate than the birchirs

I will ofcourse grow the bichirs out before putting them in the pond.
Any1 else?

I agree. I have a 24'' Mono in a tank with a lg ornate and a lg palmas and they cower for dear life. No joke.

Yeah and I could see a TSN taking the birchir as a big worm

Ok, maybe i will rethink that, would a Lap, Endli or even a Congicus work. Only one of them i am likely to get is lap, endli and congicus havent been imported before. (well but two congicus).

Congicus would be your best best (or bichir bichir, but that's way too much money), but IDK if I would even trust a 48" TSN w/ a 30" congicus. Laps grow too slowly and don't get big enough.
