Hi!
First thread here!!! I'm very happy to use MFK.
I want to buy a 130g tank and do a w/d sump for freshwater. I have found a pump that do 1017gph at 0' head and 780gph at 6' head. It will give me about 6 turnover. My question is: the pump have 1'' in and 1'' output'. I have read that 1''=600gph. do 1'' will be good for my setup or i need a fiting to put 1.25'' pipe?? For the flow rates of 1''=600, the pump will only pump at 600 right?? I know for sure for overflow but for pump... Got hard time to figure it out. Have so much threat on it cant find what i want.
Sorry for my English I'm French

^ yep, those rating are based on gravity, which you need for over flows. the pump pushes much harder so it flows higher.

TYVM guys
That what I was thinking but, no place for error with this part.
The tank is 72'' so I will probably split into 2 or 3 water exit if I can.
I will make a new post with my built when I will be able to start it. Got big home renovation to do before.
