How about an ocean clear canister? Just replace all of the other filters with one and will cost less over time without having to buy pre made filters. I am using the 354 model with a 180 gallon Saltwater and this runs the LFS Planted 140 Gallon, real nicely.

what do you guys think of the magnum 350 im starting to like the new marine land c-360 but its also a new filter so..
o yea i also found a nice wet dry filter brand new on craigs list with pump really nice looking in the box for 100 bucks but i never had one so

with the Emp 400's couldn't you just fill the 2 reservoirs with say bio-max? because then that would increase the bio filtration and even mechanical filtration... just put the bio-max in knee highs or media bags for easy cleaning...

I think they lack on the mechanical filtration, if ya cut some foam blocks to fit and rinsed on a weekly basis it could improve the mechanical filtration. Either way though you still can't come close to the media capacity of a canister filter.

well i kinda narrowed it down a bit .........option 1 eheim 2217 and 2 aquaclear 110s or 2 emps 400 with super cartridge...............................................option 2 rena xp3 2 aquaclear 110 althought im not convined on the qaulity of the xp3.....................................................option 3 c-360 2 emps 400 with super cartridges .........................option 4 fluval 405 with 2 emps or 2 aquaclears........................................
