so i got my sisters bf into keeping fish his first tank is a 135 but he doesnt no wat he wants except that he would like an aggressive community that he can keep for the fishes life thxs all
if it were me id get a GT and JD, Firemouth, turquoise Severum, 3 four lined pictus cats (the ones that get about 10" rather than 4-5) , and chuck in a shoal of like 10-12 giant danios, they'll be snacks later but fun to watch for now - all fairly easy to find fish but IMO still great choices for an aggro community
Agressive fish are probally not the best fish for some just starting out in the hobby. However if it has to be agressive a good starter fish would be a lot of mbuna(african cichlids) Make sure he has a lot of hiding places in the tank and he checks out their diet requirements and compatability.
to each their own but id disagree that aggressive fish are bad to start out with, if he has somebody like the OP guiding him through the first steps, SA cichlids and many other aggro fish IMO are tons more hardy than community fish
